Products we use to help with Allergies
In the baking section we have a variety of recommendations for cooking substitutes. But we also suffer from hayfever (a lot) so here’s where we share the products that make our lives easier. We’ve provided some links for those who are interested, obviously you can get these products from a variety of places.
Air Filters – Yes they really work. They remove allergens from the air and it does make a difference to your quality of sleep. There are a lot of very expensive ones out there, but we have found the Bionaire ones work just fine.
Dust Mite Vacuum Cleaner for mattresses – This is a small , hand held unit that you use to vacuum mattresses and soft furnishings with. Done weekly when you change the sheets this really helps get ride of Dust Mites (one of our worse allergies)
Dust Mite Spray – Again for mattresses and pillows. Safe for pets and kids and helps deal with these allergy causing critters
Doctor Organic Moisturisers – We like the Honey one. You can get it at Holland and Barrett. Very soothing for sensitive skin
White Cotton Gloves – Great for sleeping in when scratching in the night is an issue. I get ours from Boots in the first aid section.
Anti Allergy Pillows and Duvets – Again, yes these really do help. I know its a pain to buy new bedding but everything that makes sleep better and easier to important to overall health. You can get allergy pillows and duvets from most big department stores, John Lewis is where we got ours from.
